Kathmandu: The World Day of Social Justice is being observed across the globe today with a variety of programmes and awareness activities aimed at promoting equality and fairness in society. The day is commemorated annually under the auspices of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board organized a Nepal Promotion Evening in Toronto ahead of the Outbound Adventure Travel Show, in coordination with the Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa and five private tourism companies. The event aimed to expand Nepal’s reach in the Canadian outbound travel market.

Kathmandu: Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, said he was honored to join the Nepali delegation at a recent Global AI Summit. According to Ambassador Sharma, India highlighted its growing role as a global artificial intelligence hub, with major investments in AI infrastructure and ecosystem development.

Kathmandu: The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representative for Bhutan and Nepal, Kensuke Shimizu, met with Lila Pieters Yahia, UN Resident Coordinator at United Nations Nepal, to discuss shared strategic priorities and ways to strengthen collaboration across the UN system in Nepal.

Kathmandu: Udo Eugen Volz, Ambassador of Germany to Nepal, recently visited Thapathali Campus, an engineering campus affiliated with Tribhuvan University. The campus was originally established in the 1960s as a vocational training centre with German support and later developed into one of Nepal’s leading engineering institutions.
