काठमाडौं। सम्पत्ति शुद्धीकरणको अनुसन्धानका लागि पक्राउ परेका पूर्वमन्त्री दीपक खड्कालाई सर्वोच्च अदालतले थुनामुक्त गर्न आदेश दिएको छ। सर्वोच्च अदालतका कायममुकायम प्रधानन्यायाधीश सपना प्रधान मल्ल र न्यायाधीश श्रीकान्त पौडेलको इजलासले खड्कालाई उचित विधि र प्रक्रिया पूरा नगरी हिरासतमा राखेको भन्दै थुनामुक्त गर्न बिहीबार आदेश दिएको हो। सर्वोच्चले खड्काको विदेश भ्रमणमा भने कडाइ गरेको छ।

KATHMANDU: In view of government’s intensified efforts to make civil employees accountable, the National Vigilance Centre (NVC) under the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has conducted a surprise check to know about office attendance of the employees.

KATHMANDU: Bharat Bahadur Khadka of Nepali Congress (NC) has registered his nomination for the position of Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the House of Representatives. A meeting of the NC’s parliamentary party held earlier in the day decided to select Khadka for the position.

The decision of pardon was taken following the request of the Government of Nepal made through the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, UAE, it is stated.

KATHMANDU: Nominations for the election of chairpersons of various thematic committees of the House of Representatives are being filed on Thursday. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, interested candidates will have to register their nominations between 1 pm and 4 pm.
