Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been signed directly by Rajshahi Warriors for the Bangladesh Premier League 2025–26. His addition strengthens the team’s spin attack.

Rajshahi Warriors, earlier known as Rajshahi Kings and Rajshahi Royals, have been part of BPL since 2015. The team has had ups and downs but has always remained competitive.

The franchise won its maiden BPL title in 2019–20, defeating Khulna Tigers as the name of Rajshahi Royals. Andre Russell starred as Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament.

Over the years, Rajshahi faced financial and administrative challenges, including late payments and brief player boycotts. Despite this, the team has shown resilience on the field.

The current squad features a mix of Bangladesh internationals like Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Akbar Ali, overseas stars including Jimmy Neesham, Pathum Nissanka, and Mohammad Nawaz, and now Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal.
