Kathmandu. The country’s trade deficit has increased by 10.5 percent.

This is according to the data released by the Department of Customs till November of the current fiscal year. The country’s trade deficit had reached Rs 649.68 billion in the review period. Nepal has exported goods worth Rs 116.50 billion till mid-November. Nepal had exported goods worth Rs 73.65 billion till December last year. Compared to the previous year, merchandise exports increased by 58.17 percent.

The country’s total foreign trade has increased by 20.07 percent to Rs 882.69 billion.
