Kathmandu, April 9: The police have decided to release former Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak on bail upon appearance.

They are being released in accordance with a mandamus order issued by the Supreme Court of Nepal.

According to police sources, a letter approving their release on bail upon appearance has been received from the government attorney. Oli and Lekhak had been arrested on March 28.
