KATHMANDU: The parliamentary party of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has finalized its candidates for the Presidents of various House of Representatives committees.

A meeting held on Thursday at the party’s parliamentary office in Singha Durbar approved the proposed names, according to a party lawmaker.

The party stated that it prioritized lawmakers with experience and subject-specific expertise while selecting candidates for the committee leadership roles.

In a notable political decision, the RSP has agreed to support the Nepali Congress candidate for the chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Meanwhile, nominations for committee chair positions are being registered today, with elections scheduled for Friday.

Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee: Samikshya Banskota
Infrastructure Development Committee: Ashish Gajurel
State Affairs and Good Governance Committee: Hari Dhakal
Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee: Ashok Kumar Chaudhary
Women and Social Affairs Committee: Aakriti Awasthi
Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee: Rahbar Ansari
Education, Health and Information Technology Committee: Ojashwi Sherchan
International Relations and Tourism Committee: Sumnima Udas
Finance Committee: Krishna Hari Budhathoki
State Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities Committee: Ganesh Karki
Parliamentary Hearing Committee: Bodh Narayan Shrestha
