IME customer from Dolakha wins Tata Tiago EV in lucky draw
KATHMANDU: Badri Lama from Dolakha, an IME customer who sent money from Portugal via IME’s S-Money transfer service, has won a Tata Tiago EV car.
At a ceremony held in Kathmandu, IME Limited Chair Hemraj Dhakal handed over the car to Lama’s mother, Narmaya Tamang, on behalf of the lucky winner.
Chair Dhakal congratulated the winner and expressed gratitude to customers for their trust in IME.
He also highlighted that sending money home through formal channels helps families, communities, and the national economy.
IME Limited CEO, Divakar Paudel, noted that Nepali youth working abroad are not only earning money but also gaining skills and experience, which they bring back home to contribute as entrepreneurs.
The lucky draw was part of IME’s “S-Money Transfer: News is Happy, Happiness is Yours” campaign, conducted from Kartik to Magh, which included all customers sending money via S-Money Transfer from abroad. Under this initiative, two other lucky winners have already received iPhone 16 Pro devices.
IME has long been running such programs to encourage formal remittance channels and partnerships to support the country’s economic growth.
