We are also under asset probe: Rabi Lamichhane
KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has said that the government-formed asset investigation commission will also scrutinise him as part of its wider mandate.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday, Lamichhane claimed that the commission is designed to begin its probe from earlier records and extend the investigation forward, adding that all individuals fall within its terms of reference.
He also said that ministers have already submitted their asset details along with declared sources of income. “When submitting property details, there is a column to mention the source. Even if not, we have formed an investigation commission. It will start from the beginning and continue its probe. We are all already included in the terms of reference. My bank statement is already public. We are not outside the investigation. The same rules apply to everyone,” he said.
