UML’s first Central Committee meeting makes five decisions

KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the newly-elected Central Committee of the CPN-UML, which convened in Kathmandu on Friday, made five decisions.

According to Central Committee member Sher Bahadur Tamang, the meeting endorsed a proposal to entrust the responsibility of overseeing internal work allocations to the Secretariat.

The meeting also delegated authority to form a Central Advisory Council, comprising former Central Committee members and former members of central party bodies, to the Seeking. Similarly, the meeting passed a vote of thanks proposal to all those who assisted in making the 11th General Convention a grand success.

Tamang added that the meeting decided to authorize the Secretariat to publish the amended party statute endorsed by the convention. He also said that the second Central Committee meeting will be held in Kathmandu on January 10-12.
