In pics: Oath of 12 Parliamentary Committee Presidents
KATHMANDU: All newly elected Presidents of parliamentary committees have been sworn in.
On Friday afternoon, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal administered the oath of office and secrecy to the committee Presidents.

Earlier, in the concluded elections, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Hari Dhakal was unanimously elected as the President of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.
Similarly, RSP lawmakers were elected to lead several other key committees.

Samikshya Baskota was elected President of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, while Ashok Kumar Chaudhary was elected President of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee.
Ashish Gajurel was elected President of the Infrastructure Development Committee, and Aakriti Awasthi was elected President of the Women and Social Affairs Committee.

Bodhnarayan Shrestha was elected President of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee.
Rahabar Ansari was elected President of the Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee, while Sumnima Udas was elected President of the International Relations and Tourism Committee.

Krishnahari Budhathoki was elected President of the Finance Committee.
For the Public Accounts Committee, Nepali Congress lawmaker Bharat Khadka was unanimously elected with the support of the RSP, after being the sole candidate for the position.

Ganesh Karki was elected President of the State Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, and Ojaswi Sherchan was elected President of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee.
