Global IME Bank to Issue Green House Loan for Floriculture

Kathmandu. Global IME Bank and Floriculture Association of Nepal have signed a memorandum of understanding on the use of greenhouse technology in floriculture and ornamental crop production and development of easy loan system.

Mr. Ashim Karmacharya, Head of Infrastructure & Project Finance of the Bank and Mr. Rajesh Bhakta Shrestha, President of Floriculture Association Nepal, signed the MoU.

As per the agreement, the bank will provide special greenhouse loan targeting floriculture entrepreneurs and farmers. Also, Floriculture Association Nepal will provide information to its members about the Bank’s Agricultural Credit Scheme.

It will help in increasing floriculture and productivity of entrepreneurs and farmers, promotion of greenhouse technologies, development of quality infrastructure and enhancement of services. The collaboration is expected to motivate floriculture entrepreneurs and farmers to adopt climate resilient practices, sustainable business practices and modern technology.

The partnership between the bank and Association of Nepal is believed to facilitate expansion of financial access to floriculture entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs to invest in greenhouse technology and increase the production and productivity of floriculture and ornamental plants.
