KATHMANDU: Student organizations staged a protest at Maitighar Mandala, opposing the recent increase in petroleum product prices and public transportation fares.

During the demonstration, students chanted slogans against the government, including calls such as “Don’t give inflation as the New Year gift, government,” and “Let people live.” They also criticized rising prices, corruption, and alleged black market activities.

The protesters demanded immediate rollback of price hikes, stricter market monitoring, and effective measures to ease the rising cost of living for the public.
