DANG: A total of 22 passengers were injured in a bus accident at Kaudiyapul in Lamahi Municipality-1, Dang along the East-West Highway.

The accident took place when the passenger bus (Na 8 Kha 7455) heading towards Kathmandu from Dadeldhura fell off the bridge this morning, according to Police Inspector Roshan Raj Pandey of the Ward Police Office in Lamahi.

The injured have been rescued and taken to Lamahi Hospital with the help of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and locals.

There were a total of 38 passengers on the bus, police said.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
