Partial cloud cover across Nepal, light rain likely in hills
KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing partly cloudy conditions across most regions due to the partial influence of westerly and local winds.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the Himalayan region remains generally cloudy, while hilly areas are seeing partial cloud cover.
The Terai region, however, is mostly experiencing clear weather. Light rainfall and snowfall have been reported at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi Province.
This afternoon, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some parts of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Isolated areas in the Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces may also witness similar conditions, including light snowfall.
Tonight, the Himalayan regions nationwide, along with hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, are expected to remain generally cloudy.
Partial cloud cover is likely in other hilly regions, including parts of the Terai in Koshi Province.
Meanwhile, temperatures are on the rise across most parts of the country. Compared to other Terai regions, higher temperatures are expected in some areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, increasing the likelihood of heat conditions.
