UML unveils manifesto calling election a referendum on nation’s future

Kathmandu, February 19

The CPN-UML has unveiled its election manifesto for the House of Representatives Election 2026. Party Chair KP Sharma Oli made the manifesto public at an event in Kathmandu.

The manifesto outlines the achievements the party claims to have accomplished, as well as its plans. UML has taken credit for ending load-shedding and constructing international airports, among other major projects.

The party has prioritised 11 immediate tasks, 5 fundamental commitments, and 25 pillars of prosperity. UML also stated that it will move forward with rebuilding state structures such as Singha Durbar and the Supreme Court that were set on fire during the Gen Z movement, setting clear timelines for their reconstruction.

In its manifesto, UML states, “This election is not about generational change, it is a referendum between building or destroying the nation. It is a struggle between national betrayal and self-respect.”
