Gold, silver hit record highs

KATHMANDU: In Nepal, the prices of gold and silver reached unprecedented levels on Monday, marking a new record in the local market.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of Chhapawal gold per tola rose sharply by Rs 3,400, reaching Rs 261,700.
This is a significant increase from Sunday’s price of Rs 258,300 per tola.
Silver prices also saw a notable rise.
The precious metal, which was trading at Rs 4,105 per tola on Sunday, increased to Rs 4,235 per tola on Monday, the association reported.
