Sunar to Host Dual Wellness and Meditation Programs in Japan

Damodar Nepal 4 hours ago

Tokyo/Osaka, Japan — Giri Bahadur Sunar, known spiritually as Swami Dhyan Akanta, an Osho disciple from Osho Tapoban International Commune in Kathmandu, Nepal, will conduct two wellness and meditation programs in Japan. Guided by Bodhisatwa Swami Anand Arun and organized by Bihunkot Samaj Japan, the sessions aim to help the Nepali diaspora — especially migrants and students — overcome stress, anxiety, and disconnection while living abroad.

Titled “Stress to Bliss: Reconnecting with Roots for a Strong Future,” the programs blend Osho’s teachings on consciousness with practical tools.

Event Schedule:

• Tokyo: April 19, 2026 (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM) at Solmari, Shin-Okubo

• Osaka: April 22, 2026 (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM) at Abeno Shimin Gakushu Center

Participants will experience networking, icebreakers, stress discussions, science-backed management techniques, group sharing, guided meditation, and reflection to build emotional resilience and inner clarity.

Swami Dhyan Akanta teaches that transforming the mind through awareness leads to a more harmonious life — a view supported by science showing meditation lowers cortisol, improves emotional regulation, reduces anxiety, and enhances well-being.

The programs align with UN observances:

• June 21: International Day of Yoga

• December 21: World Meditation Day

• April 15: International Wellness Day

These events offer the Nepali diaspora a chance to reconnect with their roots and move from stress toward lasting inner bliss.

In addition, Mr. Sunar will participate in the 22nd WATA Open International Taekwondo Championship 2026, scheduled for April 24–26, 2026 at Ohama Arena, Sakai City, Osaka, Japan, as head of the Nepali team. He also serves as General Secretary of the International Open Friendship Taekwondo Championship Nepal (IOFTC-Nepal).
