KATHMANDU: Aston Villa powered into the UEFA Europa League semi-finals with a commanding 4–0 victory over Bologna in the second leg, sealing a 7–1 aggregate triumph at Villa Park.

The home side took control early under manager Unai Emery and opened the scoring in the 16th minute. A slick move involving Lucas Digne, Emiliano Buendía and Morgan Rogers ended with Ollie Watkins slotting home—his 100th goal for the club.

Villa had a chance to extend their lead in the 25th minute when Rogers won a penalty after a handball by Martin Vitík, but his effort was saved by goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia. However, just a minute later, Buendía made no mistake, firing home after a long throw from Digne.

Rogers then got on the scoresheet himself before halftime, finishing from close range after a precise pass from captain John McGinn.

Late in the match, Ezri Konsa sealed the emphatic win with a stunning volley in the 89th minute, ensuring Villa’s comfortable progression.

Villa will now face Nottingham Forest in the semi-finals.

Nottingham Forest booked their semi-final spot with a narrow 1–0 win over FC Porto, progressing 2–1 on aggregate.

Morgan Gibbs-White scored the decisive goal, while Porto were reduced to 10 men after Jan Bednarek was sent off.
