KATHMANDU: Four children who went missing from Tirahu, Saptari on Sunday, were found on Monday by Nepal Armed Police.

The children—7-year-old Shrishti Kumari Sardar, 7-year-old Kumari Sardar, 8-year-old Aroshi Sardar, and 6-year-old Krishna Sardar—were located near the Koshi Barrage in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1 by a patrolling security team from Base Bhardaha.

The children were taken into custody as they could not explain their whereabouts or reason for leaving home.

After verification, they were safely handed over to their guardians with the assistance of local police, community leaders, and residents.

Authorities suspect that someone may have enticed them to leave home.
