TDN Correspondent 7 hours ago

Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board organized a Nepal Promotion Evening in Toronto ahead of the Outbound Adventure Travel Show, in coordination with the Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa and five private tourism companies. The event aimed to expand Nepal’s reach in the Canadian outbound travel market.

Speaking to members of Toronto’s travel community, Ambassador Bharat Raj Paudel said Nepal is working to improve accessibility and maintain a visa-friendly policy to attract more Canadian visitors.

NTB Senior Manager Surya Thapaliya highlighted Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings, better infrastructure, and stronger private sector involvement in recent years. Senior Officer Kundan Sharma said the event aimed to strengthen networking and business partnerships between Nepali and Canadian tourism stakeholders.

Canada remains a steady source of visitors from North America, with about 15,000 to 16,000 Canadian tourists visiting Nepal each year. Tourism officials say Canada has the potential to become one of Nepal’s top ten source markets due to strong interest in outdoor adventure travel.
