Kathmandu: The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kathmandu has extended warm congratulations to Nepal on the occasion of its Democracy Day.

In a message, the embassy noted that February 19 marks an important milestone in Nepal’s democratic history and honors those who contributed to the country’s journey toward democracy. It also said Democracy Day is a time to reflect on democratic values, citizen participation, and accountable governance.

The embassy reaffirmed Norway’s commitment to supporting democratic development, good governance, and inclusive institutions in Nepal, and expressed hope for continued cooperation between the two countries.
