Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, participated in the Meeting of the Group of Friends of VNRs at the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to the United Nations on April 17.

In his remarks he said, “The VNRs are a central pillar of this effort – not only as reports, but as tools for course correction. Not only as national exercises – but as platforms for partnership and as drivers of SDG implementation.”

He further stated in a time of growing global challenges, it is clear that the 2030 Agenda remains the most comprehensive framework to navigate complexity-linking recovery, resilience and long-term transformation.

He concluded by saying to continue strengthen collaboration, transparency, and shared learning, because, “No country has all the answers. But every country has lessons to share.”
