KATHMANDU: Nominations for the election of chairpersons of various thematic committees of the House of Representatives are being filed on Thursday.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, interested candidates will have to register their nominations between 1 pm and 4 pm. As per the election program, the final list of candidates will be published on Friday.

The House of Representatives finalized the members of the thematic committees on April 10.

The House of Representatives has 10 thematic committees, while the National Assembly has four. Similarly, there are two joint committees.
