DHARAN: Police have arrested two persons with 955 kilograms of marijuana from Dharan-20 on Monday night.

The suspects have been identified as Sandip Kumar Majhi of Kolhabi Municipality-8 and Nagendra Raj Shrestha of Chandragiri Municipality-8.

Acting on a tip off, a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Dharan stopped two vehicles heading towards Bishnupaduka from Dhankuta. During the check they recovered 495 kg of marijuana from a vehicle driven by Majhi and 460 kg from another vehicle driven by Shrestha.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
